Location: Based in Preston but, if asked, they are more likely to talk you through their terrifying escape from planet Zeborg as it self-destructed two years ago.

Description: The JGB's bizarre yet melodic fairground pop brings about immediate comparisons to the Coral, however there is much more to this Punk/indy/ska/rock based quartet than just following a scene. The strangely addictive changes in pace and voice keep their music unique whilst their simple power-pop chorus' add that touch of familiarity necessary to grab people's attention.

Background: The JGB's keep their origins quite close to their chest, instead creating a detailed story about their fall to earth from the exploding planet Zeborg and stumbling across the concept of music quite accidentally whilst playing fruit machines.

Whether just a poor effort to create an insane 'Rock and Roll' image or a genuine fantasy-based escape route from a troubled past, the Jackpot Golden Boys clearly find sense of humour important and are continuing to prove their musical prowess without taking things too seriously.

Current Status: Returned to live performances with great sets at The Mill on Halloween and The Big Faces launch party. Gradually leaning towards something that resembles a style, pitching their tents nearer the rock side of town than the fairground pop we know and love, but still full of surprises and determined to make a difference to the lives of those who come to see them.

Also recently recorded a video for Halloween Night which, if you are of a nervous disposition is not recommended watching, but typical Jackpots all the same.
