Bizarre concoction Without wishing to exaggerate, The Jackpot Golden Boys cannot be described in mere words, they change their sound more often than a footballer changes his socks, and confidently manage to make any bizarre concoction of noises and vocal impossibilities fit together effortlessly.
Coconuts has a typically
diverse Hula sound, which would probably be better suited to a tropical
beach rather than the grey concrete jungles This band really has to be seen to be believed and if the JGB’s continue racking up fans at their current rate, do not be surprised if they are playing outside of the North-West in the not too distant future. MP3's of Halloween, New Toy and Chocolate Eclair can be downloaded at their current website http://www.prestone.co.uk/jgb/music.htm Written by Dan Jeoffroy Photography: Dan Jeoffroy |

Preston’s
newest nutcases ‘The Jackpot Golden Boys’ cemented their reputation
as a must-see live act with a stunning pair of performances last weekend
at The Mill (Sat May 29) and The Mitre Tavern (Sun May 30).
In
amongst the apple throwing and stage invasions at Saturday’s Mill
performance, Halloween Anthem, Coconuts and Chocolate Éclair stood
out as their strongest numbers. Halloween being a tribute to any horror
film featuring a fairground which moulds an American High School-pop chorus
with a heavy rollercoaster verse in which singer Alex Molyneux makes use
of a frightening 300mph singing voice.
