Ordinary Boys cause post-gig havoc at The Mill

Ordinary Boys singer - Preston The Ordinary boys managed to disgrace themselves at Preston’s Mill on Saturday despite performing a rousing set filled with their energetic brand of Britpop.

The Southern foursome, from the aptly named East Preston in Brighton was guilty of tearing out a sink upstairs at The Mill, causing water to flood through to the dance floor, all but ruining the Saturday evening ‘Session club-night’ after the gig.

Bouncy and vigorous

Supported by local band The KBC, The Ordinary Boys performed a 40 minute set in which their major single‘Week In, Week Out’ drew the biggest cheer. Musically the band did not seem on top form but entertained nevertheless through their bouncy and vigorous presence onstage.

The band hammered through the set on and left without an encore. Indications for a chaotic night were provided during the band’s closing number when singer and frontman, also aptly named ‘Preston’ began heavily swinging from the rafters.

Behaviour

Paul Adams, DJ at The Mill and Professional Producer commented afterwards:
I wasn’t really into it, yeah the energy was there, but I don’t know how much point there was in swinging from the roof.”

The band were originally booked after impressing at The Mill last year as a support act for Biffy Clyro. Clearly they will be lucky to be asked back at all following their post-gig behaviour this time around.
