Artist Profile: The Wandering Step

Location: Preston

Description: Quirky local band that have had their fair share of problems in the past few months. Note their own influences as Jonathan Richmond , Pavement and The Ramones. Originally had more of a punk sound but have 'developed their own sound' and have a self-proclaimed soft core of counrty and western.

Background: Released a single in 2002 in Deltasonic records, called 'Right Now It's Time For...The Wandering Step.' However, on agreeing a deal to release an album with Idle records, the handshake soon fell through following an injury to the Dave the Drummer. Consequently, in the melee, the lead guitarist left the band, leaving them short of members.

Current Status: Back in business after Dave's arm injury and were last seen parading themselves at The Adelphi, headlining the opening night of their very own Bad Apple club which takes place monthly on Friday nights.
