Artist Profile: Burn Machina

Burn Machina take on The Mill on NYE Punk vs Metal @ The 12 Bar Burn Machina - the front line
Pictures - Listen Up North West

Name: Burn Machina

Members:
Max Rossell- Guitar and vocals
Richard Bennett- Guitar
Jonny Noblet - Bass guitar
Karl Chandler - Drums

Location: Essentially a Preston band with some quirks, Max one of the founding members, used to live in France but moved to England in October 2000

Description: Heavy rock band that completed a fantastical 2004 by playing at The Mill on New Year's Eve. Mixing heavy, grinding blues riffs, dark-basslines, melodic vocals and a taste for good metal, Burn Machina are ever-growing as the hottest prospect of Prestons' rock scene. Self-proclaimed influences include Metallica, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains and Guns N Roses

Background: According to their website, the band came together at the beginning of 2004, and rose to the planes of recognition faster than you can say 'Equilibrium', having now played The Mill three times, once supporting charting rock band Breed 77.

Individually, their members come with a highly qualified past; Front man Max was previously part of old Preston favourites Digby and in 2003 graduated from university with a 1st class degree in New Music & Arts, whilst drummer Karl was once of Preston indie-punkers The BushBabies.

The band can also be heard on Preston band compilation 'The Definitive Burn of the Big Faces' with Equilibrium a paranoid, atmoshperic rock tune uncharacteristic of the bands' sound.

Current Status: Settling into their sound and gradually improving their live show, always looking to expand adapt and ultimately better their set list. Looking at getting a recording together later this year.
