|
Name: Sleepercell Members:
Description: Ambiental, atmospheric five piece rock band. Very experimental with their sound and clearly influenced by the likes of Muse, Jeff Buckley, Radiohead, The Mars Volta and heavier bands such as Tool and Rage Against the Machine. Background: Sleepercell came together about a year and a half ago and have resided under a number of different line-ups and gigging around the North-West. According to their website, the band first played live at the end of May 2004, at the old 12 Bar on Church Street. Such was their impact that by January 2005 they headlined a high-profile unsigned showcase at The Mill. The band appear very 'together' and organised and promote themselves well for every gig, as well as having a simple yet impressive website that immeditaelt declares their pride to be part of the British rock scene with 'Assembled in the UK' emblazoned across the front page - although this could be seen to have a number of other connotations, check it out for yourself. Prior to their headlining Mill performance, the band took over three months off to completely rewrite and revamp their set, coming out the other side as refreshing and experimental as ever. Current Status: Little in the way of gigs are organised for the coming months, but are looking to start recording over the summer....... Website: http://www.sleepercell.co.uk
