The Mill

The Mill, Aqueduct StreetThe Mill is firmly steeped in British music history and has played home to many major acts of the past 15 years, including Oasis, Pulp and The Verve.

The club/venue is an old converted mill and was reopened in 2003 following a spell as 'The Marquee' back in 2002.

Now under new management, it has started to attract the big names once again, with household names such as Marky Ramone, The Bluetones, Ash and The Damned and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club all appearing in the past few months.

The Mill can be found on Aqueduct Street between the Fylde Street and Brook Street junctions. A list of up and coming acts can be found HERE

The Mitre Tavern

The Mitre TavernSmall music venue near the junction of Moor Lane and Garstang Road, yet an integral part of Preston's music scene.

Regular live music including established local bands, young, up and coming acts and Tuesday night's Jam where anyone is invited to join the house musicians to show off their talents.

The venue has weekly drinks promotions including a cheap doubles bar and 'Tequila Sunday', which is pretty self explanatory. Many gigs are free entry and flyers are usually visible around Preston to advertise the bigger shows. More information can be found at themitre.net

12 Bar

The 12 BarThe 12 Bar has recently reopened after moving from its old location on Church St and can now be found round the corner near the bus station after coverting the old Blue Moon

Regular Riot nights on Wednesdays and Thursdays display the region's hottest talent with two separate stages and two different bars in which to reside. Drinks promotions on Wednesday and Thursday include £1 spirits.

Plus 'Strut Your Stuff' open mic night every monday from nine.

The Adelphi

The Adelphi, StudentvilleLocal student pub which has a good tradition of showcasing and promoting North - West bands.

The Adelphi forms a central point of Preston's alternative music scene and is a firm favourite amongst performers and fans alike. The friendly atmosphere produced at the upstairs venue provides both a good starting point for new bands to perform and an ideal location for established bands to throw intimate smaller gigs.

The Adelphi music venue has a 150 capacity and prices range from £1 - £3.
