Avenham summer show announced

Live In The Park, a large outdoor summer show featuring a host of Preston's best unsigned bands has been confirmed for Avenham Park on Saturday July 23.

The event will run from 12 noon until six o'clock at night in the natural amphitheatre of Preston's biggest park. Entry is free of charge and the show will continue back at The Mill with more bands plus an aftershow party.

The line-up has not yet been officially released but names touted so far include For My Anger, BabyBitch, The Phlegm Fatales, Star 27, Deadjim, The Stone Devils, Jelly's Last Jam and The Condor Moments.

The opening slot of the event is up for nomination and will be decided via a vote on local forum prestone.co.uk.

There will be a free shuttle bus from the park to The Mill after the last band has performed, and the aftershow party will include Capulet and The KBC.
