Bands ready for BOTB showdown |

|
The final will take place on Friday July 22nd, as with the rest of the competition, bands will have around 20 minutes to showcase their talents before being evaluated by a panel of judges. This year's competition has been undoubtedly the biggest yet, pulling in impressive crowds for almost every heat and packing out The Mill ever since the quarter-final stages. The press that the event has recieved has also been widespread - as well as complete Listen Up coverage, Laim Pennington's Rough Sketch has provided an alternative voice throughout, and the Lancashire Evening Post has even got itself in on the action with regular reports in its Friday music section. The final is set to be a nightmare for the judges, as if all bands perform to the best of their abilities then there really is no separating them, so there is as much chance of pre-competition favourites For My Anger winning as dark horses From The Wreckage. The only dead cert is that it will be a fantastic show and starts at 8pm at The Mill, Aqueduct Street, Preston on Friday July 22.
