Star 27: Tour Diary
Star 27's tour of Yorkshire and Lancashire kicked off on July
27 with eleven dates spanning August and September. The band have agreed
to keep Listen Up regularly informed of their antics on tour by providing
a text diary. This will be updated as and when the instalments are sent
in.
| July 27th | Frank: The Grapes, Sheffield. Amazing response. Autographed Star 27 cd's are latest fashion. Return gigoffered amongst other more exciting offers to be revealed if sober conversations maintain enthusiasm. Now being put up in hotel by a great new friend. Rock n roll. Tomorrow to be spent in the practice room. New stuff? |
| July 28th | Russ: First night, York. Venue like old 12 Bar. Got parking ticket on van in town. Finances stretched to breaking point. Modest crowd. Great reception! Sold enough CD's to pay for parking fine. We love rock and roll! |
| July 31st | Russ: Sunday, day off. Sorry for lack of messages. dead batteries and drink had taken over. New songs coming on well in rehearsal. Kooks gig packed and nerveracking but response good. 2 gigs in one day on saturday wore on the energy but amazing crowd and promoter reaction in Blackpool made it worthwhile. now for the studio. |
