Prestone

The Mill - Preston's premier music venue

Are your band on the right wavelength?

Frequency AM logoUniversity of Central Lancashire's student radio station Frequency has a new unsigned acts show and is offering the chance for local bands and musicians to visit the studio and perform short acoustic sets to promote their sound.

Any bands wishing to get involved and perform a set for the radio show are urged to email the shows hosts Ceri-lee and Tom at cerileethomas@hotmail.com with information on your band and when you would like to play.

The first unsigned acts acoustic set was performed last week by Modus who performed three tracks prior to the release of their new EP 'Waiting For Love Songs' released last week. The procedure for performing is relativley simple as Ceri-Lee explained on the Listen Up forum:
"Just bring a guitar. You will perform in our small studio and as long as you arrive by nine you can perform as long as you want."

The show goes out on Sundays between 8pm and 10pm and can be heard on 1350 am/mw but only has a three mile radius from the university. Alternatively, if you are outside the catchment area, you can listen online, at www.yourunion.co.uk.
