Listen Up flies south for the winter

As of today Listen Up North West is officially on hibernation duties until the New Year. Due to christmas commitments I will be unable to visit any live shows until the New Year and, all being well, I intend to kick start 2005 with a somewhat hazy review of the New Years' bash at The Mill.

Next Year
Intentions for the next year include fulfilling promises to a number of local bands to produce new artist profile pages and add them to the bands list, as well as getting going with the advertising, especially by alerting more of the student population and making a splash in Liverpool, Manchester and other cities to try and turn peoples' attention to what we have here.

Hopefully, the first third of the year will see a Listen Up fundraiser and possibly regular Listen Up showcase nights including both local and out of town bands.

Lastly, as cheesy as it sounds, I would like to thank everyone who has believed in this idea, helped advertising, provided the music, made the news section and paid regular visits to the site since its launch three months ago. I'd give a thanks list but it would go on all day, and you all know who you are.

Anybody who fancies themselves as a reviewer, critic or whatever, Listen Up is always open to contributions of live reviews or news stories as I can't be everywhere at once and have missed out on a lot of shows I would like to have seen and reviewed this year. So if anyone fancies reviewing any of the local Christmas parties then email your review to Listen Up and i'll get them online over the New Year.
