In an enthusiastic email to Listen Up, Mick Brown, KBC drummer, explained how well received the band were, and recommended more Preston bands get down and join in the fun. "The venue was a small, sweaty, claustrophobic place which opened out into a large dance floor just before the stage. the sound was amazing. with us being a 3 piece it suited us fine." The KBC played with The Tailors, who were likened to the Kings Of Leon, and the newly signed 'Free Repeater' who Mic describes as 'mega' and can be checked out at www.freerepeater.com, Mic continues: "We panicked for a bit while we were watchin Free Repeater cos they were class, but as soon as we started playing everyone was dancing. London seem to be much more appreciative of guitar/dance than up north, everyone in the crowd was going for it. "It's amazing down there. The music scene is thriving in London at the moment, I’d advise any local band wanting to make it to get on the next coach down there!" The setlist for the night was as follows: 1. Trippin The KBC can ne seen live in Preston on November 27 at the 12 Bar, with Ivan Campo, The CLones and The Jackpot Golden Boys, and then playing with Hull punk-poppers The PAddingtons in Manchester's Night and Day on December 14. Any bands interested in organising a gig in London should email listenupnorthwest@yahoo.co.uk for further information. To download a host of The KBC's impressive MP3 collection click here.
