'Fishing Funk' looking to reel in Preston bands

Club Infinity could play home to Preston bandsA company that helps to promote London club night 'Hedonistic' is looking to organise gigs for Preston bands after being impressed by a selection of local talent.

The company is called Fishing Funk, and as well as promoting Club Hedonistic, its organises gigs at a selection of venues in and around the capital, including Borderline, and Infinity nightclub.

Speaking to Listen Up, a contact from Fishing Funk has expressed particular interest in The Sushi Pills, The Clones, The KBC and The Shotgun Faeries, but was quick to make clear 'we are always up for hearing new material and can book suitable venues depending on the style of the band.'

Newly refurbished

Club Hedonistic opened on September 27 2004 and is held monthly at The Archway, a newly refurbished, 300 capacity venue in North London. Club Infinity set out to establish the venue in Britain's music scene at the end of 2003 and have now played home to bands such as Special Needs, The Rocks, Whirlwind Heat, Pink Grease, King Adora, and The Others. For more information on the venue click here.

Any bands interested in organising gigs in the capital have been asked to send a demo to Fishing Funk, and can email Listen Up in order to obtain contact information.
