New label looking for local talent

Recording problems could be a thing of the past for three Preston bands
A new North-West record label is looking for a selection of the regions’ best bands to take on and provide with promotion, gig opportunities and free studio time. Red Cat Studios are offering three bands the chance to record a demo for free in order to present to the new label.

Posting on Prestone yesterday, Allan from Red Cat Studios highlighted the opportunity and explained that the new label is looking for around a dozen North-west bands to work with in a ‘Boutique’ manner:

“By that, I think they mean a label that just has a small number hand picked bands on their books rather than boasting a large portfolio. Their Ethos is "Think Big, Start Small"

“They are looking for bands (two of which have been chosen from bands that record with me), they are looking for solo artists or anyone that is producing great music.

“As most record deals now just involve a good distribution deal, great promotion, an expectation of plenty of gigs and some free studio time, this label intends to do the same.”

The thread also asks that locals voice their opinions on the city’s best bands to assist with the selection procedure, they ask that all opinions include a link to the desired bands website or include contact details.
