The Mill - Preston's premier music venue

The 12 Bar to relocate to bigger venue

12 Bar on the upThe 12 Bar, one of the city's favourite live music venues is preparing to leave its current residence on Church Street to provide a bigger and better venue just around the corner having renovated the old Blue Moon bar.

Over the past year the 12 Bar has developed a strong tradition of live music in all its forms, both encouraging unknown, inexperienced musicians, singers and poets with a weekly open mic night, and showcasing some of the city's best unsigned bands.

The new venue will continue to give customers seven nights a week of live music, and despite being a bigger venue will still accomodate for smaller acts with a 'more intimate lounge stage.'

The last gig that will take place at the current location will be Wednesday 22nd September's Riot On Church Street, featuring Cujo 4, Branded and Ivan Campo as Preston bids a fond farewell to the charismatic nightspot that has helped regenerate the local music scene.

The first show penned for the new 12 Bar will be Thursday 30th September as Hope and The Phlegm Fatales go head to head against For My Anger and Burn Machina in a bid to continue the well respected tradition of Wednesday and Thursdays' Riot nights.
