A
compilation CD including many of Preston’s best musicians and bands
is to be available for public consumption within the next few weeks. It
is unclear of the exact date of release or how much it will cost, but
Listen Up North West can bring you the proposed track listing of the album.
The CD title will
be ‘The Definitive Burn Of The Big Faces’ and was an idea
of former UCLan student Jill Haslam who has been working with Soundnoir
to collect the demos and mix them into a compilation. The cost of the
CD is currently unclear but is thought to be between £3 - £5.
Luke Shepherd of Soundnoir spoke to Listen Up explaining
“The album is ready to burn to CD, except for a few minor amendments,
so we are just waiting for the artwork now. There will originally only
be 100 copies made, so it depends on how popular the CD proves to be as
to whether we cut any more.”
