Stone Devils and friends in unscheduled fundraiser gig

Stone Devils give it their allA quartet of Preston bands last night played a short notice tribute gig at The Mitre for the benefit of the Stone Devil’s manager whose house was recently ravaged by fire. The gig drew a large audience as the local music community pulled together to show their support.

The bands responsible for putting on the extravaganza were Sanity Clause, who describe themselves as, Anarcho-country-punk, Andy Clark of Frencheryk, Star 27 and The Stone Devils.

Star 27, who have a habit of popping up in places at the last minute with their Preston-renowned ‘guerrilla gigs’, put on an energetic performance once again, following the chaotic sound of their recent Manchester debacle

The night was headlined by the Stone Devils themselves, charming the audience with their tight, heavy blues-rock - even getting perilously close to the bone singing a once innocent song about ahem, a house fire.
